My Birthday!

My birthday was yesterday, and I'll tell you what; it was the best birthday ever! I got this new laptop and some beautiful pink roses(my dad gave me) and my whole family got the laptop for me. Dylan, my amazing brother, got me cupcakes for the birthday breakfast! They were yummy! He and my mom woke me up with a "singing" candle and he gave me a cute little cupcake and a card in bed!! I have never had a cupcake for breakfast, and I also got a birthday cake after dinner even though I had a cupcake in the morning! I had a special birthday dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I had the four cheese pasta and then after everyone finished their dinner, we went home and had some yummy chocolate cake! It was a great day, and now I'm telling you all about it with my new laptop! Can you believe I got a laptop?? I can't! I've been wanting one and it's now going to be easier to do projects for school; esp. since I want to get into the Academy of Science and Technology. This year I have turned 13, marking the start of my teenage years! I am so thrilled to be a teenager! Sadly, 13 is an unlucky number so this year better not be unlucky!

Remission Run

If you know someone who has cancer or are just a runner, you gotta be at Remission Run. Seriously not joking. It's so much fun. Lace up those running shoes and run the 5k run. Or, you know, you could always do the 1 mile family walk or if your a kid you can do the 1 mile race. Just come on out if you are someone who likes to have FUN. Life Without Gracie

As a lot of you know, my 4 year old dog died yesterday and life for me changed dramaticly. I am encouriging you all to warn people of the Sago Palm. It is the plant that poisned my puppy. The plant is extremely toxic to dogs and people. A picture of the plant is my my FB account. Go check it it. It's my profile picture. Let's all warn people about this plant! :)

Remission Run

We had a great race today for the second anual Bill Crews Remission Run. It is amazing to see all the cancer survivors crossing the finish line! Today is a day we need to celebrate with our friends and family who may be in remission. I am very happy with how the race turned out and hope to have a great race next year. Love to all friends and family and a special thanks to all of the volunteers and Remission Run commitee. Yall all did great!

The Little Potato Who Belived He Could

Little Potato had a dream. To be enjoyed. One day, Little Potato was in the pantry. His BFF, Larry, was saying, "Little Potato, you will never be enjoyed. You dream too big for a little potato like you." Larry knew nothing. He was just a couch potato!!!

Then, out of nowhere, a hand picked up Little Potato. "I'm gonna be enjoyed!!!" He said.

Just did an 8mi run!!! I didn't get too tired!!! It was fun. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my braces off and have a retainer. :)

I just got finished with a 6.35 mile run. It was tiring but there was a good tempeture. Not too cold and not too hot. It was my longest mileage. It was fun!!!

The Childrens Cancer Program went great! The pizza was good and we didn't run out of anything except for drinks. Everyone learned a lot about cancer and a few people won hockey tickets for tonights Micheal Jackson night. www.remissionrun.org is up and waiting for you to sign up!!! Do it, or be cursed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will be fun for all ages.

.The Childrens Cancer Program is tomorrow!!! Pizza and drinks will be served. Dr. Hegamister will talk about cancer. He will give great facts so be sure to bring a writing utensil and paper!
.Remission Run will be on January 3o, 2010. Sign up at http://www.remissionrun.org/. The entry fee is $25.
There will probably be a band to play. Awards for different things will be given out. Food and drinks will be served. It will be a blast!!!

New Beginnings

School is going but my half marathon traning is going slow! It takes a lot of dedication and hard work, but it's all worth it! I love running and swimming, but I also like sitting down and reading a book or writing stories, books, and blogs. I just love being creative and expressing myself. One of my inspirations is Michael Phelps. One of his quotes really inspired me. " So many people along the way, whatever it is you aspire to do, will tell you it can't be done. But all it takes is imagination. You dream. You plan. You reach. There will be obsticles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, with belief, with confidence and trust in yourself and those around you, there are no limits." Isn't that quote inspiring? I love it! I think Michael is trying to make you belive in yourself. It did that to me! Did it do it to you???

Have you made your goal, or have you just thought about your dreams coming true? Dreams have to be made into goals. You can't just have a dream and expect it to come true without doing any work. You have to work hard at it! Don't be a couch potato, be a hard worker!!!

Our Given Specialties: Making and Acheiving Goals

After a person figures out their specialties, they make a goal. Goals take a long time to acheive so you need to stay patient. Goals are something like this: Do good at 5k run next fall. That goal is easy to acheive but if you want to good, you have to work hard at it. Don't let people say stuff to make you quit your goal. It will only make you regret regret quitting later. Just make your goal and acheive it. It only takes those two simple steps. My goal will take work though. Mine is to do a half marathon on January 1, 2010. To acheive that goal I'll have to train hard. It won't be easy, but it's worth it!

Our Given Specialties

God gives us all specialties, whether or not it's running or jumping rope. Most people don't discover theirs for a long amount of time. Others figure it out quickly. Take me and my brother for instance. He has good music skills and triathlon skills. I haven't figured mine out yet though. Maybe it's writing or running. When I write I feel like I'm in my own imaginary world. When I run, I feel free like the wind. I don't know what God has planned for me quite yet, but what I do know is that God has something special planned for me. Something I'll do great at.
